25% of Sales from Collection to Benefit Children Suffering from Canavan Disease

Love2design has joined in the fight against Canavan Disease by creating a collection of jewelry for the charity Jacob's Cure. PEACE, LOVE and JACOB’S CURE is the theme of the collection with pieces that reflect Jacob’s signature SMILE. Together Lori Gilman, the owner of Love2design, and Jordana Holovach, the founder of Jacob’s Cure (and Jacob’s mom) designed the collection with everyone in mind. There are pieces for children as well as adults. The more people wear our collection, the more awareness we can bring to the disease.

Canavan is a degenerative brain disorder that destroys myelin, the white matter that forms a protective coating around the nerves in the brain and spinal cord to ensure that nerve impulses are properly transmitted. As a result of the deterioration of the myelin, children lose basic functions such as seeing, swallowing and smiling. Death in the first decade of life is the norm. Along with Jordana Holovach, LOVE2DESIGN hopes to bring a SMILE to everyone’s face while fighting Canavan Disease.
